Finally got to try this place after bookmarking it for quite some time. Anyways, we waited in line through Yelp, which is highly recommended since there is always a long line. Make sure to have your phone next to you because if your table is ready and if you're ONE minute behind from checking in, they will lecture you about not checking your phone. LOL. Regardless, they will call out your name to be seated. My boyfriend and I ordered Hokkien Prawn Mee, Hainan Chicken, and Roti Canai. The Hokkien Prawn Mee was okay. I felt like our dish was warm meaning it's been sitting in the kitchen waiting for delivery. The shrimp was also plumped but overcooked. The soup was quite flavorful, heavily shrimp focused. Hanian chicken was cooked perfectly. It was juicy and flavorful even without additional sauces. Felt quite healthy eating it so that's a plus. If you do use the sauces, they're quite unique and worth trying. For the Roti Canai, it was delicious. I loved how gorgeous, hot, and fluffy it was when it came out. The sauce was out of the world. It had me guessing what the ingredients were. Other than that, it was super, duper delicious and is a must try. Staffs were quick and does not waste any time. You can tell that they're hard workers based on how they're running back and forth a lot. Overall, I would love to be back and try their other dishes.

My family is a mix of S. Asia and E. Asia, but my familiarity with Malaysian cuisine is confined to whatever I ate as a kid at Changi Airport, just so there's a frame of reference for my perspective. Perhaps that's why I like Ipoh Kopitiam: it's what I imagine home food would taste like if I could convince my Indian relatives to go non-veg and my Japanese relatives to develop a spice tolerance. Either way, this is probably my favorite 626 location for brunch. Service is always brisk and professional. The food is fresh, tasty and filling. They have a nice range of tea and coffee that can easily be requested to go. My favorites: - Roti Canai - Nasi Lemak w/ Chicken Curry - Singapore style Hainan Chicken For sides: I also often get the soft-boiled eggs + greens, hot milk tea + kaya toast. The rasam that comes with all their roti is also good. Tips for newcomers: - Always park in the lower levels of the underground parking structure. The majority of the street level lot is reserved for medical offices. - If you don't want to experience a long wait, check into the yelp waitlist while en route and avoid weekends. Alert the receptionist promptly upon arrival. - As of this writing, they have a truncated tea-time menu from 3:00 pm to 4:45 pm. Thus, there is often less wait during those hours, but you will need to arrive earlier or later if you want access to the full menu.

I haven't had legit Singaporean food before from Singapore before but this tastes authentic. My 2nd time here and both times the food has been flavorful and delicious. We got the laksa noodle, the roti with rendang, Char kway Teow, and Kaya Toast - SO GOOOOOOD. Dish prices range from 12$-19$ or so, with the exception of the Kaya Toast with Butter ~5$-7$. The service here is great too! Something super comforting about it, not overtly friendly, but they get shit done, helps if you speak Cantonese too. I love the decor of the place, they have beautiful portraits and have TV displaying the streets of Singapore. Right when I walked in, I was greeted with the smell of Malaysian milk tea, included is one free refill! There's a parking garage next to the restaurant that they share with the doctor's office and Happy Lemon. Another tip is to come around 5:30pm-6pm to beat the rush. When we left around 7:45pm there were many hungry people waiting to get in!

It was so difficult trying to decide what to order. Everything tasted amazing. My favorites were the roti, Hainan chicken, and char kway teow, so pretty much their popular selling items. Service was fast and efficient. Used Yelp waitlist by setting the remind me to join waitlist feature and it worked pretty well. Had to wait less than 10 minutes after checking in with the hostess. Free parking lot in the back.
